Grid-Tie with Battery Backups Inverters from 150W and Up

Grid-Tie with Battery Backups Inverters are used in locations where grid power is available. These are pure sine wave inverters connected directly to the local grid power.

Inverters with battery backup may or may not be connected to solar or wind renewable energy systems, but are designed to provide emergency power when the grid is lost and are usually connected to a priority load electrical panel.

Many Grid-Tie inverters have a built-in battery charger for replenishing the energy to the battery bank when grid power is available or are supplemented from a solar or wind energy system.

These inverters are typically available in 1500W or higher ratings, for both single (residential) and three phase (commercial) power.

The MM Series from Magnum Energy – a modified sinewave inverter providing a cost effective solution for those with smaller power needs in mobile applications. Versatile, easy-to-use, and lightweight, the MM Series provides a reliable base for your energy system.

This inverter is designed to accommodate entertainment systems and small appliances in smaller RVs and boats in an all new design. Based on the popular ME and MS Series inverters, the MM is smaller, lighter and less expensive while retaining all the built in protection and reliability of ME and MS models. The MM charger uses a PFC (Power Factor Corrected) charger, which is 85% efficient and the same charger topology used in all Magnum models.

The standard 20 amp transfer relay will pass AC power through the inverter when using grid or generator power. It comes with an on/off front mounted switch with and easy to read LED indicator.

The MM612AE model is designed to be hardwired into the elctrical system and does not include the AC cord or GFCI outlet.

The FX series is designed to survive in environments that would normally destroy other inverter/chargers. Protection for internal components is provided by our die-cast aluminum chassis with a powder coated finish to prevent corrosion. Internal and external cooling fins allow for passive heat transfer, enabling peak operating efficiencies as high as 93% and looking cool while doing it. Water and small particles are kept out through the generous use of gaskets and 0-ring seals on all seams and openings. A protective conformal coating on all circuit boards provides the final line of defense against corrosion. The VFX series is designed for more protected installations. By utilizing an efficient active cooling design, the VFX models are available with AC output up to 3.6 kilowatts. All circuit boards are conformal coated to prevent corrosion from airborne moisture in humid conditions. The MSH-M Series combines the energy from both the AC input and the batteries to power the inverter loads. This feature gives the inverter the ability to recharge the battery when there is surplus power, or to deliver more power to the loads if they require more than the AC input can supply by itself.

The MSH-M Series have neutral ground switching and are intended to be used for land vehicles (RVs or trucks) or marine craft.
